Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 6, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Stone Tile & Carpet Cleaning ("STC," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and discloses personal information through stonetilecarpetcleaning.com, service inquiries, website chat, and related marketing and advertising activities.
Information we collect
- Information you provide. When you request a quote or contact us, we collect the information you submit, such as your name, phone number, email address, ZIP code, requested service, and project details. Quote submissions also include your IP address, a submission identifier, and a timestamp. We also receive information you choose to include in emails or conversations with us.
- Chat information. If you use the website chat, we process your messages, the assistant's replies, a conversation identifier, timestamps, and your IP address. Chat messages are processed using an automated AI assistant and may be stored and sent to our team for follow-up. Please avoid including payment details, government identifiers, or other sensitive information.
- Website and device information. Our website and its providers may collect your IP address, browser and device information, referring pages, pages viewed, timestamps, and interactions such as clicks on phone links. Cookies and similar browser storage may associate visits and interactions with a browser or device.
- Marketing preferences. When you give permission to receive marketing during lead capture, we receive the contact details and preferences you provide.
- Facebook or Instagram inquiries. If you submit an STC lead form on Facebook or Instagram, we receive the contact information and service details you submit through that form. Meta also processes information under its own privacy policy.
How we use information
We use information to respond to inquiries, prepare estimates, coordinate requested services, and communicate about your project. When you consent during lead capture, we may also use your contact details to send promotional messages about STC services through the communication channels covered by that consent. You can withdraw your marketing consent using the methods below.
We use website information to understand how visitors use the site, improve its content and functionality, prevent spam and misuse, and troubleshoot problems. We may also use information to measure advertising, reach interested audiences, maintain business records, and meet applicable legal obligations.
Who receives information
STC's office and admin team uses information to handle inquiries, coordinate services, and manage communications. We also disclose information to the providers described below to support our website, analytics, communications, and advertising:
- Hosting, storage, security, and AI services. Cloudflare supports website functions, inquiry storage, bot protection where enabled, and processing of chat messages through Workers AI.
- Analytics and session replay. We use PostHog to understand website activity and improve the site. When session replay is enabled, it can record clicks, scrolling, navigation, and content displayed on a page. Form inputs are configured to be masked. Session replay may include content displayed in chat messages. Please avoid entering sensitive information in chat messages or other free-text fields.
- Email delivery. Email providers process quote submission details, including associated IP addresses and timestamps, to send inquiry notifications. The website supports a Cloudflare-based quote notification service. Where configured, Resend sends chat transcripts to our team.
- Fonts, maps, and other external content. Some pages load resources from external providers, including Google Fonts and map or software delivery services. Loading these resources can disclose your IP address and browser information to those providers.
- Advertising. Meta receives information when we use Facebook or Instagram lead forms, advertising measurement tools, retargeting, or customer-list audiences, as described in the next section.
We may also disclose information when required by law or when necessary to respond to legal requests or protect rights and safety. Links to external services lead to websites with their own privacy practices.
Facebook and Instagram advertising
We may run advertisements that direct you to our website or invite you to submit a lead form on Facebook or Instagram. If you submit a lead form, we use the information you provide to respond to your inquiry and, when you consent, send marketing communications.
For our advertising campaigns, we may use Meta Pixel and Conversions API. When enabled, these tools disclose website or service-request events to Meta, along with information used to associate those events with a person or device. Depending on the configuration, that information may include IP addresses, browser and device details, cookie identifiers, pages visited, event timestamps, and contact identifiers such as email addresses or phone numbers.
We may also provide customer contact identifiers to Meta for customer-list audiences and use retargeting to reach people who previously interacted with STC. These activities help us measure advertising results and show relevant STC advertisements. Meta may associate information we disclose with information from its services and other websites. Hashing a contact identifier for matching does not make that information anonymous.
Meta's use of information is described in its Privacy Policy. You can manage advertising preferences in your Facebook or Instagram account and contact our office/admin team to request exclusion from future STC customer-list uploads.
Cookies, analytics, and your choices
The site uses browser storage for features such as remembering that you dismissed a chat prompt. Analytics and advertising tools may use cookies or similar technologies to measure visits, associate interactions with a browser or device, and support advertising. You can manage cookies and site storage through your browser settings; blocking them may affect some features. Browser cookie settings do not necessarily stop information disclosed through server-side tools such as Conversions API or customer-list uploads.
The current website does not provide a dedicated response to browser "Do Not Track" signals. Third-party providers may collect information about online activity over time and across websites under their own privacy policies. You can learn about PostHog's practices in its privacy policy.
How long we keep information
We retain information for the purposes described in this policy, including following up on inquiries, maintaining service records and marketing preferences, resolving disputes, and meeting legal obligations. Retention varies by record type and storage system. The website is configured to expire individual quote records after one year and individual chat records after 90 days from their most recent update. These settings do not automatically delete related email copies, inquiry indexes, analytics records, or other business records.
Privacy requests and communications
Our office and admin team handles privacy requests. Contact us using the details below to ask to review, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, or to ask questions about its use. We may need information to verify your identity before handling a request. Some records may need to be retained for legal or service-related reasons.
If applicable California privacy law gives you additional rights, those may include knowing what personal information is collected and disclosed, requesting correction or deletion, opting out of sale or sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising, limiting certain uses of sensitive information, and receiving equal treatment when exercising those rights. Contact us to make a request or ask how those rights apply to your information.
To withdraw marketing consent, follow the unsubscribe or opt-out instructions in a promotional message, or contact our office/admin team by email or phone and identify the communications you want to stop. You can also ask us to exclude your contact details from future customer-list uploads to Meta. These requests do not prevent us from responding to your inquiries or sending communications about services you requested.
Children's information
Our website and services are intended for adults seeking cleaning or restoration services. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and address it.
Changes to this policy
We will post updates on this page and change the effective date. For material changes, we will also provide a prominent notice on the website or contact affected individuals when required by law.
